Leadership Positionality Journal
The Leadership Positionality Journal is a companion resource to Leading for Equity in Residencies: The Critical Role of Self-Knowledge and Cultural Competence, designed to help residency program leaders critically examine how their identities, cultural backgrounds, and implicit biases influence their leadership practices. Through four stages of guided reflection, the journal encourages leaders to explore their own positionality, consider the experiences and perspectives of the educators they serve, engage in collaborative reflection, and examine systemic barriers to equity. By providing structured reflection prompts and opportunities for documenting insights, the journal supports leaders in translating self-awareness into meaningful action that fosters more equitable, culturally responsive teacher residency programs.
