Mentorship Deep Dive (Session 3, Part 2: Holistic Approaches to Data) 2024-2025
In part 2 of the third Mentorship Focused Deep Dive session, we feature Dr. Nadia Bennett, an education leader and consultant, leading an interactive session on equity-driven leadership and the retention of educators of color. During her presentation, Dr. Bennett highlights the the importance of using both quantitative and qualitative data (especially personal stories) to understand systemic barriers, challenge “single stories,” and address implicit bias in education systems. Through discussion, reflection, and practical strategies, the session focuses on cultivating inclusive leadership, strong instructional support, and advocacy practices that help educators of color thrive and remain in the profession.
